I’m standing again because people like me -  single parents, renters, and those from less wealthy backgrounds are still underrepresented.
And because there’s work
still to be done.

WHAT I STAND FOR

“Having worked with Tina this term, I’ve seen firsthand the blend of principle and pragmatism she brings – exactly what is needed in politics today.”
— Peter Roffey, People’s Deputy
“Tina is honest, informed, and genuinely cares. You know where you stand with her, and more
importantly, she knows where she stands.”
— Heidi Soulsby MBE, Deputy 2012 - 2025
What I Stand For

I’m not interested in politics for politics sake. I care about what decisions mean for people – in their homes, at work and in everyday life.

I’m not in politics for headlines — I’m here to make things fairer, kinder, and more joined-up.

About

“I stood for election because I didn’t see people like me in politics.”

I’m not an obvious politician — I’m a single mum living in rented accommodation, a volunteer, a long-distance runner, and someone who’s navigated Guernsey’s systems from the outside in.

From juggling home education to figuring out the finer points of autism support, I’ve lived the realities that policy decisions affect.

I stood for election in 2020 because I believed politics could work better, for more of us. And I still do.

In that time, I’ve learned how to navigate the system, challenge when challenge is needed, compromise and push for progress without playing to the headlines.

The Guernsey I love is built on community; on volunteers, charities, neighbours helping neighbours. I’ve seen that spirit up close during my voluntary work and it’s the same spirit I carry into my role as a Deputy - because good policy starts with people.

What I've Done

I’m not in politics for headlines — I’m here to make things fairer, kinder, and more joined-up. Some of the work I’m proudest of hasn’t made front pages. But it’s made a difference.

You'll fond more detail in my manifesto but here is a snapshot of what I've achieved so far.

01
Mental health review launched
Pushed for focus on mental health, not for headlines but because too many people were falling through the cracks. It took time, but the review got done. Several improvements were suggested; some are complete, others are in progress
02
Education: evidence over assumption
Brought an amendment calling for a proper comparison of school models —
because big decisions should be based on facts, not fixed ideas.
03
Challenged campaign spending
Raised concerns about how much it costs to stand for election — because
democracy should be accessible, not reserved for the wealthy.
04
Amplified overlooked voices
Spoke out on outdated laws that disproportionately affect young people and those from less privileged backgrounds — especially around cannabis reform and structural inequalities.
05
Did the homework
Worked consistently on multiple boards and committees: Health & Social Care, Employment & Social Security, Government Work Plan, Children & Young People, Disability, Wellbeing and Inclusion.
“Your speech today was incredible — it gave me faith in politics. We need more Deputies like you who listen, act, and amplify islanders’ voices.”
— Poppy Murray, Chair of SafetyNet
